Terms

The agreement that comes with using BriefAI

What the service does, what you agree to when you subscribe, the no-aggregation guarantee from the privacy page repeated here in plain language, and the one inbox for every terms question.

  1. Section 1 of 11

    Acceptance of these terms

By using BriefAI you accept these terms. If you do not accept any clause, do not use the service — the generator is gated on an account, so signing up is itself the acceptance event.

You also confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are not barred from receiving the service under any export-control or sanctions regime that applies to you, and that you will not use BriefAI on behalf of anyone who is. If a clause stops being true while you are a customer, please stop using the service and tell us at the contact inbox below.

  2. Section 2 of 11

    The service

BriefAI turns the one-sentence product description you type at generator time into a campaign bundle: hooks, a script outline, a call-to-action, and an objection handler. You type, we generate, you keep the result.

We do not schedule posts, publish to any social platform, upload brand assets, scrape product pages, or send mail on your behalf. Every brief is scoped to your account — the samewhere: { userId: user.id } filter as Privacy §3, with no aggregation across BriefAI accounts and no resale of brand descriptions to anyone outside the platform.

  3. Section 3 of 11

    Accounts and authentication

One human per account, one sign-in email per account. The better-auth module manages a session-only cookie in your browser — the cookie expires when you sign out. We do not share authentication state across accounts, so two signed-in browsers will not see the same briefs.

We never store your password in plaintext. better-auth holds only a hash, and the verify path runs against that hash on every sign-in; we cannot recover a password for you, only reset it. Keep your sign-in email current — that is the address Stripe billing data is keyed to, and that is the address we write to for every account-level notice.

  4. Section 4 of 11

    Acceptable use

Do not use BriefAI for unlawful purposes, do not paste infringing product descriptions or scraped brand copy as your input, and do not attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or bulk-export the model output beyond what the Pro tier wakes up for you. Automated bulk calls that exceed the documented rate are not a normal-use expectation; if you need higher volume for a legitimate workflow, reach out to the contact inbox first.

Do not use BriefAI to generate content that you know is intended to deceive a platform, a regulator, or an end consumer — the same standard you would apply to any other production tool. We may suspend the accounts that violate this section (see Termination below).

  5. Section 5 of 11

    Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

All payments run through Stripe hosted checkout, wired up by the stripe-billing module. Stripe collects your card details directly on Stripe’s own hosted page — BriefAI never sees, stores, or transmits your card number, expiry, or CVV. The verify path runs on the success page, and the payment event is reconciled against a persisted cursor so the same charge cannot unlock two copies of the same plan.

Pricing is computed server-side and shown to you at the checkout step before Stripe collects anything; we never read the price from the browser. Refunds are available within 14 days of a charge — reply to the Stripe receipt or email the contact inbox below and Stripe executes the refund against the original card. You may cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we never auto-renew a period we have not also credited to your account.

  6. Section 6 of 11

    Intellectual property — your content

The product description you typed, and the brief we generated from it, are both yours. We claim no rights over your input, your output, or any derivative use you make of either — publish it, license it, send it to your virtual assistant, do whatever it is the role of the brief to do.

A regeneration is a fresh draft, not an edit on top of the previous attempt — the generator in src/lib/business/generate.ts makes exactly one model call per regenerate, and we do not echo your prompt or the previous output back into the next prompt. Your last draft does not become training signal for the next call.

  7. Section 7 of 11

    Intellectual property — ours

The BriefAI brand mark, the UI, and the curated niche copy in public/llms.txt belong to us. They are not open-licensed and may not be republished as a competing product or as a substitute for the service itself. The same statement the FAQ gives under the brand-mark question applies here: the name and the look are how readers recognise BriefAI.

None of this clause reaches back into your input. The previous section is the controlling statement on ownership of what you type and what we generate; this section is only about the marks, the UI, and the curated copy.

  8. Section 8 of 11

    Disclaimer of warranties

BriefAI is provided as-is. The brief is a draft, not legal, medical, financial, or regulated-claim advice — the 150-character hook cap and the scripted-output qualifier are deliberate: a brief is a starting point, not a finished claim. You are responsible for the claims you publish, and you should run your own compliance review before any output goes in front of a regulator or a paying customer.

We do not warrant that the model output will be free of errors, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that any particular result will be produced from any particular input. Where a jurisdiction does not allow a particular disclaimer to be enforced to its full extent, that disclaimer applies to the maximum extent permitted by that jurisdiction.

  9. Section 9 of 11

    Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to BriefAI is capped at the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost goodwill, or lost data — again, to the maximum extent permitted.

Nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law: gross negligence, wilful misconduct, and any statutory liability that the applicable jurisdiction refuses to let us contract out of remain unaffected.

  10. Section 10 of 11

    Termination

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. Account deletion removes every row scoped to your userId — briefs, libraries, VA-seat grants, and the Stripe customer mapping we hold for billing — and it cancels the Stripe subscription at the same time, so no further charges run after deletion.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use section, that exhaust the documented rate limits in a way that interferes with other accounts, or that we are required to suspend by law. We will give you a chance to fix the issue before suspension where that is reasonable, and we will tell you what the issue was.

Changes to these terms · contact

Last updated · August 8, 2026. We will update this page with a new date (and a note at the top of the section that changed) if anything material changes — for example, if billing is moved off Stripe, if a new category of content is collected, or if the liability cap or refund window shifts. Continuing to use BriefAI after a posted update means you accept the new terms. The one inbox for every terms question, report, or interpretation request is hello@em.briefaihq.com — one email, no support ticket, no flow to click through. We reply within one business day.
